What is MultiMediaCart?

MultiMediaCart is a Web-based software application, facilitating the below two functions:

1. The online sale of all media content, using pay per view, pay per minute or pay wall billing.
2. The secure delivery of fee-based content over the Internet; to all Internet connected devices, browsers, etc.

Customers can shop for media products, preview them, and place the item in their online shopping cart. They then checkout, paying with any major credit card or PayPal. After the payment is processed, the customer can view or hear the content on demand, almost immediately. MultiMediaCart opens a window and the purchased media is consumed immediately, inside the appropriate player or content page. The actual content is streamed from the media server to the customer (as shown in the above diagram), so media traffic never traverses the MultiMediaCart site. MultiMediaCart has built-in security protecting the URLs, IP addresses and domain names of all target media sites and content, and it works with SSL and other encryption technologies that protect content from unauthorized access, illegal copying and distribution. MultiMediaCart works inside of the top CMS-based ecommerce solutions, such as:

• Joomla / VirtueMart
• osCommerce
• Zen Cart
• Cube Cart

Currently, we offer a software version for Joomla / Virtuemart, and a hosted service using osCommerce and Joomla / Virtuemart. 

Our software will be released for the Joomla / VirtueMart platform and for osCommerce. Your MultiMediaCart-powered site can look like a catalog, a corporate site, entertainment site, a membership organization, online newspaper or magazine, or a blog. After customer purchases a movie, a window opens automatically with the media player or reader, or page with purchased content.

If publisher wants to deliver content in the same window, MultiMediaCart can be configured to display the media player or reader or content - within the confines of the main body.
